Toast of the Coast: Christian Culinarian starts Give Back Program

"Whatever measure you use in giving, large or small, it will be used to measure what is given back to you," said Lawrence, quoting Luke 6:38.

Beginning this month, Lawrence is committed to giving 10 percent of the proceeds of her catering business -- a minimum of $200 and up to $1,000 -- a month to qualified charities in Brevard.

It's easy to take advantage of The Christian Culinarian's new Give Back Program, since all customers need do is place orders or schedule events with the company. Lunches, staff meetings, weddings, open houses, among other events, all qualify.

"Just by eating something, you will be giving back to the community," she said.

Lawrence has developed a Charitable Organization Registration Form that you can fill and either email or snail mail to her to get your favorite charity on the roster.

"Our Give Back Committee will select the qualified charitable organization each month," she said.

No order is required for registration form submission. Every month, Lawrence will alert her customers of the charity selected to receive funds that month.

"The more friends and family order and book events, the more the charitable organization will receive, all because you took the time to complete the form and let the organization know about the program," she said.

A gourmet, full-service catering company, The Christian Culinarian offers both formal sit-down table service as well as casual buffets for banquets, holidays, conventions and any special event in Central Florida.

Lawrence has more than 15 years of culinary experience. A certified chef and graduate of the Florida Culinary Institute, Lawrence has received gold, silver and bronze medals in culinary competitions.
